Recovery No.1

Well, the first of our Farewell Fiestas came off well last night. Thanks to everyone who came, was a great mix of mine and Claire's friends, some faces I know and love and some new faces that I came to love by the end of the night! Thanks to Robin at Django's Riff for sorting out the 23-glass round of Tequila for us :-) Claire did a great job of hosting the hoards when we got back to her place: food, booze and much merriment!
At home recovering today, starting to put bits and bobs in boxes to make space for Glyn to take over my room while I'm away. We've recieved final notice at 52 Roscoe Street, so have to clear out my studio into storage over today and tomorrow.
On the list of jobs for the week:
-buy compact camera
-Get anti-malaria medication
-get Immodium(!)
Looking forward to seeing some more old faces down in London next weekend.
(a little reminder:Saturday 17th; 9pm; The Foundry, Old Street)
The party's only just starting.....

Getting ready to go!

The Flights are booked, the insurance sorted out, the packing never-ending....
Got someone to look after my room, so I won't be homeless when I return! I have a travelling partner, Claire who is being a superstar and making loads of stuff happen. We are having a Liverpool Farewell Fiesta this Saturday night (10th), starting off at Django's Riff on Wood St for drinks from 8.30 and then back to Claire's for tortilla and tequila!
For those of you down in London, I will be having another Farewell Fiesta the following Saturday (17th) from 9pm at The Foundry, Old Street.
Now all I have to do is remember my passport.
